Lexington Medical Center (LMC) is a sophisticated suburban medical complex and the anchor of a rapidly growing comprehensive, countywide healthcare network. This network includes six strategically located community medical and urgent care centers, an occupational health center, the largest extended care facility in the state, and an Alzheimer's Care Center. It wasn’t always this way.
In the early 90s, LMC was known as Lexington “Country” Hospital. People seeking advanced care often went elsewhere. The hospital had good facilities and programs; people just didn’t know about them. The goal was to change that situation with information. Knowledge would become lifeblood for the fastest-growing hospital in the state’s fastest-growing county.
